The Building, The Bus, The Bar

Yes Bubba, this is that new place you've been wanting to try. A melting-pot cocktail of bohemian culture and the good Old West, the West Side Yard (WSY) in Victor, Idaho, is the newest addition to one of the oldest bars in town, partner.

What was once the Timberline built in the 1940s, the WSY reopened as of June 2019 after much needed renovation at the beginning of 2018. Starting as a basic face-lift, the project soon hurdled obstacle after hazardous structural-integrity obstacle revealing deteriorating walls, warped flooring and an overall much-needed modernization. Thanks to local laborers and contracting companies from Eastern Idaho, the newly-restored restaurant and bar now features flair that rivals any exceptional hangout destination in the state.

The bus

Bonneville Customs and BC Metalworks have become notorious for their custom steel and metalwork from everything to cabinets, classic motorcycles, chairs, rat rods, and then some. The WSY commissioned much of the structural and aesthetic work from our teams to make a plethora of one-of-a-kind designs and features, including intricately woven rebar stools, webbed steel chairs, sliding plate doors, a cafe counter-top, and a fully functional bus bar parked right out back.\

OK, the bar isn't exactly functional in the sense that it drives, but boy does it take you where you want to go. This beauty is permanently parked in the expansive backyard of the WSY restaurant under a string of overhanging lights amid tables, chairs, and the scenic Teton Valley landscape. With luxury upholstery and fabricated rebar webbing throughout the interior of the bus - not to mention a tap with four local beers available from the windows - this hangout is as remarkable as it is unique. The building

While you're marveling at the extravagance of the steam-punk atmosphere, venturing inside to the restaurant itself will only take you further down the rabbit hole. More design work from the floor up bares evidence of the detailed work from our steel companies, meaning everything from the bar-top to the cafe counter around the corner has our custom creations.

WSY features activities fit for anyone 21+, including an axe throwing yard, pool, sports channels, and a dance hall fit for concerts and DJs. These new additions bring modern amenities to a small town in close proximity to larger attractions like Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole. Revitalizing this historic landmark gives young adults and old timers alike a place to enjoy an aesthetically pleasing and recreationally-centered hangout.
