He’s traversed the Rocky Mountains, surfed the Pacific Ocean, skied the powder of the Grand Tetons and paddled the powerful Salmon River. His current pursuit now takes him to the remote locations of - remote work from home.
Casey Wayne’s roots lie in the city of Long Beach, California, where he surfed and played soccer till relocating to Idaho at the age of 11. He maintained his life-long passion for soccer throughout high school where his athleticism earned him a Varsity position his Freshman year. He went on to captain his junior and senior years, winning the Idaho 4A State Soccer Championship in 2007 for Bonneville High School.
High grades, peak performance and one soccer scholarship later, Casey and six of his teammates traveled to Eastern Oregon to play soccer for Treasure Valley Community College.
To pursue his passion of skiing, Casey began work at a Twin Falls based ski company, Precision Mountainwear. After two years and a traveling management position later, he became regional manager for the company and helped maintain business in multiple locations throughout the west.
After five years at Precision Mountainwear, Casey found himself out of employment from failing winter conditions and poor sales for the locally owned ski company. The time had come to resume his academic career at Idaho State University.
Three and a half years of pursuing a communication, media & persuasion degree earned him a bachelor of arts with an emphasis in journalism, which he now uses both professionally and as a hobby in his free time.
To this day, Casey attributes his passion of journalism in the Gonzo style writings of Tom Wolfe and Hunter S. Thompson.
